"4TH SUNDAY OF GREAT LENT. (OF ST.JOHN OF THE LADDER) AT WAKISO MOTHER OF GOD ORTHODOX PARISH.

I had the joy today to visit the Theotokos Parish in Wakiso and to celebrate Divine Liturgy with Rev.Fr. Antonios Mutyaba, Parish priest and founder of this Parish.

JESUS HEALS A DEMONISED BOY. (Mark 9:17-31)

"O FAITHLESS GENERATION, HOW LONG SHALL I BE WITH YOU? HOW LONG SHALL I BEAR WITH YOU?

In this Gospel Passage, Our Lord does complain about the unbelief of the Father of the demonised boy, & For the unbelief of the generation of the People, since they left themselves to be taken away into unbelief and Pervetion.

In that very same way, 2000yrs after, the Lord continues to have these complains towards us, for our unbelief, and failure to understand and follow His Way of Truth and Love.

Woe to us if we keep our Lord unhappy with our Ways. Yet, on the other hand, Blessed Are We if we live with Faith in Him, & follow His Ways.

His Disciples asking Him why they couldnt drive out the demon from the boy, the Lord tells them, that there is a kind of demons that cant be driven out Except by Prayer & Fasting.

In this we are called to put PRAYER & FASTING in our lives in order to overcome some very difficult situations and evils in our Lives".

I do express my thanks to the brother in our Lord's service Rev.Fr.Antonios Mutyaba, a gifted and devoted Servant of God, for the warm Hospitality today plus the wonderful work he is doing in the Mission of the Holy Church, Also thanks to the Sisters in the Lord, Paraskevi & Irene with their blessed children's choir of All Saints Orthodox Home, As well as my joy to meet our friends from Greece who joined us in the worship today.
