I arrived at Hola in Tana River, 486 kms from Nairobi, to a small Pokomo village.

The whole village which had converted to orthodoxy during the previous one year with the help of Rev. Fr. Gabriel and Rev. Fr. Simon, who both come from mpeketoni 180 kms from away.

This humble community had learned about the Orthodox faith through their young men, who studied it online and sent a deligation to find nearest church, which was 180kms away, at Mpeketoni. The delegation invited the priest, who came and oerfomed the first baptisms of hundreds of people and their children.

They are very strong in the faith they are gifted with love for the church and blessed in singing.
