After our first visit to the region more than a decade ago, we continue to share the Orthodox Faith with the Turkana people of Northern Kenya. Most recently, we've been able to support the training of catechists who are traveling to villages where the Faith is being intentionally taught and proclaimed for the first time!

In a video we received from these catechists, we were shown the Turkana people crossing themselves as they embrace a life in Christ, donning the life-giving armor of the Orthodox Faith we now share.

Crossing ourselves is both a confession of faith and prayer – a prayer that engages not just the heart and mind, but the body itself. As we continue to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Cross, we strive to reach more people with the eternal victory that the Cross itself represents.
