"ΜΑΘΗΤΕΥΣΑΤΕ"

«Μαθητεύσατε πάντα τα έθνη» —

φωνή Κυρίου, πνοή αιώνια,

που διασχίζει τους αιώνες σαν άνεμος γλυκός,

και φτάνει ως την Αφρική,

να καρπίσει στις καρδιές των ανθρώπων.

Εδώ, στην Γκάνα,

όπου το τύμπανο συνομιλεί με την προσευχή,

και οι ψυχές ανασαίνουν την ειρήνη του Θεού,

η Ορθοδοξία ριζώνει ταπεινά,

σαν φως μέσα στη νύχτα της λησμονιάς.

Δίπλα, στην Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού,

όπου τα κύματα ψιθυρίζουν ύμνους στο φως,

σηκώνονται ναοί με ιδρώτα και αγάπη,

και παιδιά βαπτίζονται στ’ όνομα της Ζωής,

με χαμόγελα που λάμπουν πιο δυνατά

κι από τον ήλιο του μεσημεριού.

Κι ο Πατριάρχης Θεόδωρος,

πατέρας στοργικός της Αφρικής,

ευλογεί με δάκρυ και χαρά

τους κόπους των αδελφών,

σπέρνοντας πίστη όπου ανθίζει ο πόνος.

Με βήμα απλό και βλέμμα ουράνιο,

αγκαλιάζει λαούς και γλώσσες,

κι ο σταυρός του λάμπει —

όχι από χρυσάφι,

μα από αγάπη.

Μαθητεύσατε — αυτός είναι ο δρόμος.

Όχι να κυριαρχήσεις, μα να υπηρετήσεις.

Όχι να φανείς, μα να φωτίσεις.

Να γίνεις ο άρτος του πεινασμένου,

το νερό του διψασμένου,

το χαμόγελο του παιδιού που πίστεψε

πως ο Θεός θυμήθηκε και τη γη του.

Έτσι πορεύεται η Ορθοδοξία της καρδιάς,

όχι με πλούτη, αλλά με χάρη.

Με χέρια γεμάτα Ευαγγέλιο,

και μάτια γεμάτα φως.

Μαθητεύσατε —

είπε Εκείνος που πρώτος

μας εδίδαξε την Αγάπη.

Και το έργο συνεχίζεται,

στη Γκάνα, στην Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού,

και σε κάθε ψυχή που διψά για τον Θεό.

"MAKE DISCIPLES"

“Make disciples of all nations” —

the voice of the Lord, an eternal breath,

crossing the ages like a gentle wind,

reaching Africa,

to bear fruit in the hearts of humankind.

Here, in Ghana,

where the drum converses with prayer,

and souls breathe the peace of God,

Orthodoxy takes root humbly,

as light within the night of forgetfulness.

Nearby, in the Ivory Coast,

where the waves whisper hymns to the light,

churches rise through sweat and love,

and children are baptized in the name of Life,

their smiles shining brighter

than the noonday sun.

And Patriarch Theodoros,

a loving father of all Africa,

blesses with tears and joy

the labors of the brethren,

sowing faith where sorrow blossoms.

With a humble step and a heavenly gaze,

he embraces peoples and tongues,

and his cross shines —

not with gold,

but with love.

Make disciples — this is the way:

not to rule, but to serve.

Not to be seen, but to enlighten.

To become the bread of the hungry,

the water of the thirsty,

the smile of the child who believed

that God remembered his land.

Thus walks the Orthodoxy of the heart,

not with riches, but with grace.

With hands filled with the Gospel,

and eyes filled with light.

Make disciples —

said He who first

taught us Love.

And the work continues,

in Ghana, in the Ivory Coast,

and in every soul

that thirsts for God.

"FAITES DES DISCIPLES"

« Faites de toutes les nations des disciples » —

voix du Seigneur, souffle éternel,

qui traverse les siècles comme un vent doux,

atteignant l’Afrique,

pour porter du fruit dans le cœur des hommes.

Ici, au Ghana,

où le tambour converse avec la prière,

et les âmes respirent la paix de Dieu,

l’Orthodoxie s’enracine humblement,

comme une lumière dans la nuit de l’oubli.

Tout près, en Côte d’Ivoire,

où les vagues murmurent des hymnes à la lumière,

des églises s’élèvent, façonnées de sueur et d’amour,

et des enfants sont baptisés au nom de la Vie,

leurs sourires brillant plus fort

que le soleil de midi.

Et le Patriarche Théodore,

père aimant de toute l’Afrique,

bénit de ses larmes et de sa joie

les labeurs de ses frères,

semant la foi là où fleurit la douleur.

D’un pas humble et d’un regard céleste,

il embrasse les peuples et les langues,

et sa croix resplendit —

non d’or,

mais d’amour.

Faites des disciples — tel est le chemin :

non pour dominer, mais pour servir.

Non pour paraître, mais pour éclairer.

Devenir le pain de l’affamé,

l’eau de l’assoiffé,

le sourire de l’enfant qui a cru

que Dieu s’est souvenu de sa terre.

Ainsi avance l’Orthodoxie du cœur,

non avec des richesses, mais avec la grâce.

Avec des mains pleines d’Évangile,

et des yeux pleins de lumière.

Faites des disciples —

dit Celui qui, le premier,

nous a enseigné l’Amour.

Et l’œuvre continue,

au Ghana, en Côte d’Ivoire,

et dans toute âme

assoiffée de Dieu.
