His Eminence Panteleimon Metropolitan of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon met with His Excellency the Governor of Pointe-Noire on 1st December 2017, following an invitation.
During the meeting, the Governor congratulated His Eminence on the recent elevation of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville to a Metropolis, saying definitively that “this Synodal Decision by the Patriarchate of Alexandria is an honour for the country of Congo-Brazzaville, adding that “the state services will always support its efforts as the Orthodox Church contributes greatly to the progress of our country”. He also expressed his respect to His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II.
His Eminence Panteleimon expressed once again the gratitude of the Holy Metropolis, assuring the Governor about the continuance of the efforts for the spiritual and general promotion of the social whole.
