"His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, this morning presided over the Divine Liturgy and the celebration of Fr. Benjamin Talaam who is celebrating 50years as a priest. Fr. Benjamin is one of the greatest pioneers of Orthodoxy in Nandi and parts if Western Kenya. Fr. Benjamin was also today honoured by the Archbishop and the Church at large because he was presented with a certificate of long service to the Church and also he was elevated to protopresbvyter and Father Confessor. Many priests of Nandi Bishopric were in attendance to honour the great servant of God and the Church."
