"On Sunday the 6th of October, our Parish will have two wonderful blessings!
Firstly, our parish will be celebrating the Feast Day of Panagia of Yellow Rock (Kitrinopetritissa)- (October 4th), the sacred icon of which is housed at the Holy Monastery of Saint George, Springwood-Yellow Rock.
Our Church has a copy of the original icon and at the end of the Divine Liturgy, we will perform a Litany of the icon around the Church.
Secondly, Fr Themi, the famous missionary from Sierra Leone will be with us that morning. He will co-liturgise with Abbot Kyriakos from the St. George Monastery and Fr. Athanasios. Fr. Themi will inform us of the latest news from the Mission there.
Our Ladies Auxiliary will be selling Loukoumades. All proceeds will go towards the needs of the Orthodox Mission in Sierra Leone.
A wonderful opportunity for all to participate in the festivities of the Holy Icon of Panagia of Yellow Rock and to receive the blessing of Fr. Themi!
