"Sunday of the paralytic (John 5:1-15)
The Lord’s Grace and Mercy are sufficient for our healing.
This remarkable miracle recorded by St John is so timely in our church calendar reading today because it can be related well to the current COVID -19 Pandemic quarantine, curfew and lockdown paralysis in the world. The whole world is in pain, hurting, crippled, systems are paralyzed and it seems we are not going to be out of the woods any time soon. So where is our hope? Where is our healing? When are we going to rise up and walk? Where is our miracle. Tough questions indeed. But one thing is certainly sure; Behold Our miracle is at hand!!
Christ will make us whole again at the fullness of His own time. Just as he asked him: do you want to be whole again ? Applies to us to day. Even before we say yes, He will make our nations whole again, he will put our broken pieces of our lives whole again because in Him is our hope, our healing. We shall rise up and walk again and everything that has been broken into pieces or paralyzed will be put together and it will be complete in a way that we shall not regret about what we have lost but rejoice in what we have gained. He is our pool of Siloam, he is our Bethesda (House of Mercy) He is our Alpha and Omega. Let us keep praying and call upon his holy name. Amen.
Be blessed"
