Η Ορθοδοξία αυξάνεται στην Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού
Με τη Χάρη του Παναγίου Πνεύματος και την πατρική ευλογία του Σεβασμιωτάτου Μητροπολίτου Άκκρας, Ακτής Ελεφαντοστού και Μάλι κ. Δανιήλ, τελέστηκε το Ιερό Μυστήριο του Αγίου Βαπτίσματος και του Χρίσματος σε τριάντα τρεις κατηχουμένους στη Δημοκρατία της Ακτής Ελεφαντοστού, επισφραγίζοντας την καρποφόρα πρόοδο του Ορθοδόξου Ιεραποστολικού έργου στην περιοχή, σύμφωνα με τον λόγο του Κυρίου:
«Πορευθέντες μαθητεύσατε πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, βαπτίζοντες αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ Πατρὸς καὶ τοῦ Υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος» (Ματθ. 28,19).
Το χαρμόσυνο αυτό γεγονός αποτελεί καρπό της πολυετούς και ανύστακτης μέριμνας του Πρεσβυγενούς Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής και της πατρικής καθοδήγησης του Μακαριωτάτου Πάπα και Πατριάρχου Αλεξανδρείας κ.κ. Θεοδώρου Β΄, ο οποίος, κατά τον απόστολο Παύλο, «κοπιάζει καὶ μοχθεῖ… κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ Χριστοῦ» (πρβλ. Κολ. 1,28-29) σε ολόκληρη την αφρικανική ήπειρο.
Οι νεοφώτιστοι αδελφοί μας, ύστερα από πολύμηνη συστηματική κατήχηση και πνευματική προετοιμασία στις ενορίες των Αγίων Θεοφανίων του Χριστού (Bouaflé) και του Αγίου Ιωάννου του Χρυσοστόμου (Sinfra), προσήλθαν στο λουτρό της παλιγγενεσίας, καθώς «ἐὰν μή τις γεννηθῇ ἐξ ὕδατος καὶ Πνεύματος, οὐ δύναται εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ Θεοῦ» (Ἰω. 3,5), και εντάχθηκαν στο Σώμα της Μίας, Αγίας, Καθολικής και Αποστολικής Εκκλησίας.
Το Σάββατο 10 Ιανουαρίου 2026 βαπτίσθηκαν «εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ Πατρὸς καὶ τοῦ Υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος» και έλαβαν τη σφραγίδα της δωρεάς του Αγίου Πνεύματος διά του Αγίου Χρίσματος, σύμφωνα με τον αποστολικό λόγο:
«Μετανοήσατε καὶ βαπτισθήτω ἕκαστος ὑμῶν… καὶ λήψεσθε τὴν δωρεὰν τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος» (Πράξ. 2,38).
Το ιερό Μυστήριο τέλεσαν ο Αιδεσιμώτατος Πρωτοπρεσβύτερος π. Ιερεμίας, Αρχιερατικός Επίτροπος Ακτής Ελεφαντοστού, ο Πανοσιολογιώτατος Ιεροκήρυκας Αρχιμανδρίτης π. Χρυσόστομος, ο Αιδεσιμώτατος Οικονόμος π. Ματθίας και ο Αιδεσιμώτατος Πρεσβύτερος π. Βαρθολομαίος, οι οποίοι, κατά τον Απόστολο, ως «συνεργοὶ Θεοῦ» (Α΄ Κορ. 3,9), διακονούν με αυταπάρνηση το ιεραποστολικό έργο στην Αφρική.
Η χαρά και η συγκίνηση των νεοφωτίστων και των πιστών μαρτυρούν ότι, υπό την πνευματική σκέπη του Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας, «ὁ λόγος τοῦ Θεοῦ αὐξάνει καὶ πληθύνεται» (Πράξ. 12,24) και το φως της Ορθοδοξίας συνεχίζει να λάμπει δυναμικά στην Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού, οδηγώντας πλήθος ψυχών στη σωτηρία.

Orthodoxy is Growing in Côte d’Ivoire.
By the Grace of the All-Holy Spirit and with the paternal blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel of Accra, Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, the Holy Sacraments of Baptism and Chrismation were celebrated for thirty-three catechumens in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, sealing the fruitful progress of the Orthodox missionary work in the region, according to the word of the Lord:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).
This joyful event is the fruit of the long-standing and tireless pastoral care of the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa and of the paternal guidance of His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Theodore II, who, in the words of the Apostle Paul, “labors and strives… proclaiming the Gospel of Christ” (cf. Colossians 1:28–29) throughout the African continent.
Our newly illumined brothers and sisters, after many months of systematic catechesis and spiritual preparation in the parishes of the Holy Theophany of Christ (Bouaflé) and Saint John Chrysostom (Sinfra), approached the laver of regeneration, for “unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God” (John 3:5), and were incorporated into the Body of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
On Saturday, 10 January 2026, they were baptized “in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” and received the seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit through Holy Chrismation, according to the apostolic word:
“Repent, and let each of you be baptized… and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
The Holy Sacrament was celebrated by the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. Jeremiah, Vicar of Côte d’Ivoire; the Very Reverend Preacher Archimandrite Fr. Chrysostomos; the Very Reverend Economos Fr. Matthias; and the Very Reverend Presbyter Fr. Bartholomew, who, as the Apostle says, are “co-workers of God” (1 Corinthians 3:9) in serving the missionary work of the Church in Africa.
The joy and emotion of the newly illumined and of the faithful bear witness that, under the spiritual protection of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, “the word of God continues to grow and multiply” (Acts 12:24), and the light of Orthodoxy continues to shine powerfully in Côte d’Ivoire, leading many souls to salvation.

L’Orthodoxie se développe en Côte d’Ivoire.
Par la grâce du Très-Saint-Esprit et avec la bénédiction paternelle de Son Éminence le Métropolite Daniel d’Accra, de Côte d’Ivoire et du Mali, les Saints Mystères du Baptême et de la Chrismation ont été célébrés pour trente-trois catéchumènes dans la République de Côte d’Ivoire, scellant ainsi les fruits abondants de l’œuvre missionnaire orthodoxe dans la région, selon la parole du Seigneur :
« Allez donc, faites de toutes les nations des disciples, les baptisant au Nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit » (Matthieu 28,19).
Cet événement béni est le fruit de la sollicitude pastorale inlassable du très ancien Patriarcat d’Alexandrie et de toute l’Afrique, ainsi que de la direction paternelle de Sa Béatitude le Pape et Patriarche d’Alexandrie et de toute l’Afrique, Théodore II, qui, selon l’Apôtre Paul, « travaille et lutte… en annonçant l’Évangile du Christ » (cf. Colossiens 1,28-29) sur tout le continent africain.
Nos frères et sœurs nouvellement illuminés, après plusieurs mois de catéchèse et de préparation spirituelle dans les paroisses de la Sainte Théophanie du Christ (Bouaflé) et de Saint Jean Chrysostome (Sinfra), se sont approchés du bain de la régénération, car « si quelqu’un ne naît d’eau et d’Esprit, il ne peut entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu » (Jean 3,5), et ont été incorporés au Corps de l’Église Une, Sainte, Catholique et Apostolique.
Le samedi 10 janvier 2026, ils ont été baptisés « au Nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit » et ont reçu le sceau du don du Saint-Esprit par la Sainte Chrismation, selon la parole apostolique :
« Repentez-vous, et que chacun de vous soit baptisé… et vous recevrez le don du Saint-Esprit » (Actes 2,38).
Le Saint Mystère a été célébré par le Très Révérend Protopresbytre Père Jérémie, Vicaire de Côte d’Ivoire, le Très Révérend Prédicateur Archimandrite Père Chrysostome, le Très Révérend Économe Père Matthias et le Très Révérend Prêtre Père Bartholomée, qui, selon l’Apôtre, sont « collaborateurs de Dieu » (1 Corinthiens 3,9) dans le service de l’œuvre missionnaire de l’Église en Afrique.
La joie et l’émotion des nouveaux baptisés et des fidèles témoignent que, sous la protection spirituelle du Patriarcat d’Alexandrie, « la Parole de Dieu croît et se multiplie » (Actes 12,24) et que la lumière de l’Orthodoxie continue de briller avec force en Côte d’Ivoire, conduisant de nombreuses âmes vers le salut.
