Ιερά Μητρόπολη Άκκρας - Holy Archdiocese of Accra Ghana
Θεοφάνεια στο λιμάνι της Γκάνα.
Τελέσθηκε Αρχιερατική Θεία Λειτουργία από τον Σεβασμιώτατο Μητροπολίτη Άκκρας κ. Δανιήλ, στον Ιερό Ναό του Αγίου Νικολάου, ο οποίος αποτελεί κέντρο της Ορθόδοξης ιεραποστολής στην περιοχή.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της Θείας Λειτουργίας τελέσθηκε το Ιερό Μυστήριο της Βαπτίσεως της τριετούς Ναταλίας, εντός του αγιασμένου ύδατος του Μεγάλου Αγιασμού.
Στην εορτή συμμετείχαν εκπαιδευτικοί και μαθητές του Σχολείου του "Αγίου Νικολάου", ο Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής και Κυπριακής Κοινότητας Γκάνα κ. Κωνσταντίνος Δερμετζής, καθώς και Ορθόδοξοι πιστοί, Γκανέζοι και αλλοδαποί.
Αμέσως μετά, για πρώτη φορά στην περιοχή, πραγματοποιήθηκε λιτανευτική πομπή προς την παραλία, όπου ανεγνώσθη το Ιερό Ευαγγέλιο των Θεοφανείων και ερρίφθη ο Τίμιος Σταυρός προς αγιασμό της θαλάσσης, με δέηση υπέρ της προστασίας όλων των ναυτικών και ψαράδων της περιοχής.
Η εορτή των Θεοφανείων στην παραθαλάσσια πόλη της Tema, ανέδειξε με ιδιαίτερη σαφήνεια το ιεραποστολικό έργο του Ελληνορθόδοξου Πατριαρχείου Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής, πνευματικού τροφού των Ορθοδόξων της Αφρικής, το οποίο συνεχίζει αδιάκοπα να κηρύττει το Ευαγγέλιο του Χριστού, να αγιάζει ανθρώπους και τόπους και να στηρίζει τους λαούς της αφρικανικής ηπείρου με πίστη, ελπίδα και αγάπη.

Theophany at the Port of Ghana.
With spiritual splendor and a strong missionary character, the Feast of the Holy Epiphany was celebrated in Ghana, in the port city of Tema, which constitutes the country’s main maritime gateway and point of entry.
An Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan of Accra Daniel, at the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas, which serves as a center of Orthodox missionary activity in the region.
During the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Mystery of Baptism of three-year-old Nataly was celebrated, within the sanctified Waters.
The celebration was attended by teachers and students of the "Saint Nicholas School", the President of the Greek and Cypriot Community of Ghana, Mr. Konstantinos Dermetzis, as well as Orthodox faithful, both Ghanaians and foreigners.
Immediately afterwards, for the first time in the area, a liturgical procession took place toward the seashore, where the Holy Gospel of Theophany was proclaimed and the Precious Cross was cast into the sea for the sanctification of the waters, accompanied by prayers for the protection of all sailors and fishermen of the region.
The celebration of Epiphany in the coastal city of Tema clearly highlighted the missionary work of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, the spiritual shepherd of the Orthodox faithful of Africa, which continues unceasingly to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to sanctify people and places, and to support the peoples of the African continent with faith, hope, and love.

La Théophanie au port du Ghana.
C’est avec une grande solennité spirituelle et un caractère missionnaire marqué que la fête de la Sainte Théophanie a été célébrée au Ghana, dans la ville portuaire de Tema, qui constitue la principale porte d’entrée maritime du pays.
La Divine Liturgie célébrée par Son Éminence le Métropolite d’Accra Mgnr. Daniel, en l’église de Saint-Nicolas, qui constitue un centre de la mission orthodoxe dans la région.
Au cours de la Divine Liturgie, le Saint Mystère du Baptême de la petite Natalia, âgée de trois ans, a été célébré dans les eaux sanctifiées de la Grande Bénédiction des Eaux.
Ont pris part à la célébration les enseignants et les élèves de l’école Saint-Nicolas, le Président de la Communauté grecque et chypriote du Ghana, M. Konstantinos Dermetzis, ainsi que des fidèles orthodoxes, ghanéens et étrangers.
Immédiatement après, pour la première fois dans la région, une procession liturgique s’est rendue jusqu’au rivage, où l’Évangile de la Théophanie a été proclamé et la Sainte Croix a été jetée dans la mer pour la sanctification des eaux, accompagnée de prières pour la protection de tous les marins et pêcheurs de la région.
La célébration de la Théophanie dans la ville côtière de Tema a mis en lumière de manière particulière l’œuvre missionnaire du Patriarcat grec-orthodoxe d’Alexandrie et de toute l’Afrique, père spirituel des fidèles orthodoxes du continent africain, qui poursuit sans relâche l’annonce de l’Évangile du Christ, la sanctification des personnes et des lieux, et le soutien des peuples de l’Afrique dans la foi, l’espérance et l’amour.
