The Sunday of Orthodoxy was celebrated in splendor at the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, centered in the temporary Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Grace Bishop Panteleimon, with the participation of many faithful. The homily was preached by the Reverend Fr. Maximos Oumba, Vicar General of the Holy Diocese, who spoke of the history and significance of the feast.
Following the Eucharistic Synaxis, the procession of the holy icons took place in the church grounds, in front of the building of the Holy Diocese and the permanent huge Cathedral which is under construction and the “Synodical of Orthodoxy” was read.
