Long-term OCMC Missionary Dr. Bill Black, who is serving the in Kisumu, went to Uganda this past weekend. Bishop Athanasios Akunda inaugurated the Orthodox Church of Uganda's Christian Youth Network and spent time on a major Orthodox compound north of Kampala where Archbishop Jonah lives. Dr. Black says "there is a hospital, printing facilities, a guest house, a big high school and the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas. I had a wonderful time with my colleagues. We were even asked to sing during the entertainment portion of the program. We had a safe journey, and despite more police drama on the way home, got safely back to Kenya where we celebrated by having fish and ugali in Busia."
