NEW CLERGY OF THE PATRIARCHATE OF ALEXANDRIA IN GULU-UGANDA AND ST.SILVESTROS' FEAST.

"SERVE WITH LOVE AND SACRIFICE, AND NEVER BETRAY YOUR LORD AND HIS HOLY CHURCH"

Today the Sunday before Epiphany as well as celebration of St.Sylvester's feast, Bishop Silvester led Holy Liturgy at St.Lavrentios where he performed the mystery of ordination on Deacon Benedict Nyeko to Priesthood and Subdeacon Isaac Edward Bayege to level of HieroDeacon, and also elevated Rev.Fr. Julius Orach to rank of Protopresbyter. In his words of counsel to the newly ordained, the Bishop cautioned them to always serve with Love and Sacrifice, to be royal and never to betray their Lord and the Holy Church. The Bishop also called on the faithful to enter the New Year with Repentance as the Gospel reading also reminded them from the preaching of the Forerunner and Baptist John that " Repent, for the Kingdom of God, is at hand". (Mark 1).

After Church followed refreshment and the faithful offered the Bishop different gifts wishing him a Happy Name day.
