1st SUNDAY OF GREAT LENT: SUNDAY OF ORTHODOXY.
We thank God, for blessing the Preservation of the Orthodox Christisn Faith for our sake.
The Orthodox Church, confessing and living the faith, dating back to the Early Holy fathers and to the Apostles of our Lord, is rightly referred to as the Orthodox Church, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Many people are heard today saying, that its not so important how exactly one may believe as long as one believes in God, But for us we know how very important it is brethren, for us to keep the Right belief and right worship in Christ Jesus our Lord and God, for as its written: "An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules" (2Tim 2:5).
We celebrate the Preservation of the Orthodox faith.
We celebrate the Reinstallation of Holy Icons.
To All those who struggled to preserve the Orthodox faith over the centuries, May their Memory be Eternal.
A blessed Great Lent of Repentance, of believing and living the Church Sacramental life, practicing the right Faith in Christ.
