SUNDAY OF THOMAS CELEBRATED IN NAMWENDWA, KAMULI

Yesterday, Second Sunday of Pascha, Fr Chrysostom Koolya and Fr James Tizoomu co-served the Divine Liturgy in the newly-completed church in Namwendwa, Kamuli district; to mark the inauguration of the celebration of the Lord's Resurrection with the steadily-expanding community of Orthodox Christians in Ndalike and Wandago.

The Ekklesia dedicates the second Sunday of Pascha to the doubting Apostle of the Lord, Thomas. Though it had been a long time since the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the village of Ndalike, Fr Chrysostom urged the people to be strong in faith and imitate Thomas' magnificent confession, "You are my Lord and my God!" (John 20:28)
