The Resurrection of the God-Man in Brazzaville, capital of the Congo, was celebrated with piety and spiritual joy. His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon conducted the Divine Liturgy at midnight at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Lord.
During the Eucharistic gathering, the Bishop read the Paschal Message of His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa. He also congratulated the Parish Priest Fr. Sergios Mabelemo and the Church Council on their exemplary start on the works of the outside repairs and painting of the Church and donated a substantial amount for its completion.
He urged the faithful not to forget the contribution of the hierarchs and priests that served before, as well as the donors and helpers of the missionary effort, both Greek and local, by praying always for them.
A festive meal was hosted for all the congregation with traditional music and dancing, and the Bishop gave a brief interview on the state television station Congo TV, who screened the Resurrectional Divine Liturgy.
