A DAY OF JOY AT THE ORTHODOX ORPHANAGE

On 17th September 2016, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Brazzaville and Gabon, arrived in Dolisie for the celebrations commemorating St Efstathios, Patron Saint and Protector of the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage.
He started out with a lengthy meeting with Mr. Jean-Claude Tchilimbou,  Director of the Orthodox “Light of the Nations” Primary School, in view of the beginning of the new school year. He then went to the adjacent orphanage of the local Church, where he had the joy of broad communication with the younger children, to whome he sweets and balls and sweets.
He also expressed his satisfaction to the active director, Fr. Paul Diafouka, Parish Priest of the city, on the completion of the repairs and sealing of the drinking water tank, as well as on the creation of a vegetable garden and a small area for fish breeding for the needs of the Institution. He then handed over a new electric generator.
The day ended with the Service of Vespers in the Holy Parish Church of St Irene, catechism for the faithful who arrived at the Church and a meeting of the Parish Council.
