PASTORAL VISIT TO GABON

 

 

His Grace Panteleimon, arrived in Libreville, Gabon, the second country in the jurisdiction of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville, on 4^th October 2016, together with the Hierarchal Vicar General the Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. Maximos Oumba, to visit the small Orthodox Community in the city.

On the morning of 5^th October His Grace met with His Excellency Mr. Dmitri Kurakov, Ambassador of Russia to Gabon and then with the Honorable Consul of Serbia Mr. Moncilo Radunovic Mombo.

In the afternoon of the same day he conducted the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the home of the Honorable Consul of Serbia, together with many Gabonese, Russian, Serbian and Syrian brothers and sisters. A meeting followed, during which the Bishop developed on issues of faith, to give strength to the Orthodox Christians and conveyed the paternal prayers, blessings and ceaseless concern of His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Arica.

On 6^th October, His Grace had a lengthy session with the staff of the local Church, as well as meetings with the faithful, prior to departing by air for Brazzaville, the capital of the Congo.
