"SAMP feature 7: Fr. Stephane Kasemuka of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The vast expanse of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is shared amongst several dioceses. With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Meletios, OCMC sponsors 45 priests in the Metropolis of Katanga, which covers the southern portion of the DRC and includes over 100 parishes.

Fr. Stephane Kasemuka was born in 1968 in Kolwezi. He was exposed to Orthodoxy by a man named Georges who lived in his neighborhood and drove all of his family to the local Orthodox Church. In 1980 he was baptized and then was ordained to the priesthood in 2006. He serves the parish of St. George in Kolwezi.
