"“Sing unto the Lord a New Song” is the motto of Saint Irene’s Orthodox Orphanage/Mission Kenya and indeed today has been a joyful day of celebration and song for Fr Constantinos Eliud Muthiru and the children of this Mission as the drilling of their borehole/ water well has been completed successfully. The next stage is to wait for the casings and water tower to make the well fully functional for drinking.

There has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears that have gone into this project as well as many prayers and months of waiting. It is especially the support of the faithful donors and friends of Saint Irene’s to whom Fr Constantinos is most grateful and thanks for your thoughts, prayers, words of encouragement and financial gifts over time.
Now Saint Irene’s has been blessed with a fresh, clean water supply, they can look forward to a hopeful future and to the eventual building of a new school, dormitories, chapel on their new property as we trust in God’s faithfulness.
