The Resurrection of the Lord was celebrated with piety and spiritual euphoria in Brazzaville, the capital of the Congo. His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon conducted the Divine Liturgy at midnight in the celebrating Church of the Resurrection of the Lord.
During the Eucharistic Gathering the Bishop read the Paschal Message from His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa. He also congratulated the Church Council for the prevailing decorum and order, as well as the Reverend Parish Priest Fr. Sergios Mabelemo, to whom he awarded his appointment as Member of the Diocesan Council for the period 2017-2020 and gave him a new set of vestments.
He also urged the faithful not to forget the contribution of the previous hierarchs and priests, as well as those who assisted the missionary effort, Holy Metropolises, Monasteries and Ecclesiastical Organizations, Missionary and Philanthropic Societies and Brotherhoods and pious individuals, Greeks and locals, always praying for them.
In conclusion, a festive meal was hosted for the entire congregation, with traditional music and dances.
