The Makarios III Seminary School in Nairobi has been the Beacon, the crucible and the sanctuary of young souls, young men, who come from all over Kenya and the African Continent to be nurtured, refined, trained as theologians and candidates for priesthood.
This intensive training takes three years under the leadership and guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Makarios of Nairobi. Yieronda Makarios assisted by eminent theologians have for many years, produced missionaries and clergy for ministry who upon their graduation return back to their respective diocese and get assigned to diverse parishes to serve.
This year, the diocese of Eldoret and Northern Kenya was able to sent six (6) seminarians who were tonsured today as readers by His Eminence Yieronda Makarios, the General Dean of the Seminary. We are truly grateful, honored, humbled and thankful for the administration of this significant sacrament which denotes their first journey or step into priesthood. Congratulations our seminarians. You are now fully in the spiritual arena, therefore fight a good fight until you win the race. We are proud of you as we witness what you are gradually and steadily becoming.
