CELEBRATION OF FAMILY DAY AT ST NICHOLAS CATHEDRAL

Today 24 November, His Eminence Metropolitan Jeronymos presided over the celebrations of the annual Family Day at St. Nicholas Cathedral - Namungoona. The Bishop presided over the Divine Liturgy on the thirteenth Sunday of Luke and later on the blessing of the gifts offered for thanksgiving by different families.

In his remarks, Bishop Jeronymos urged the Orthodox Christians to deeply reflect on the significance of the Sacrament of Holy Marriage. "At every Divine Liturgy, we are called to partake of Christ with three words, 'With the Fear of God, with Faith and Hope draw near'. Most people hide at that moment because they have not officialized their marriages."
