-Day 6 of the Patriarchal Visit: Pentecost Celebration and Diaconal Ordination in Kapsabet in the Holy Metropolis of Eldoret and Northern Kenya
On the sixth day of the Patriarchal Visit to Kenya, His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa presided over the Divine Liturgy for the great Feast of Pentecost at St. Mark Orthodox Cathedral, Kapsabet.
His Beatitude concelebrated with His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Kenya and Exarch of Eastern Africa, His Eminence Archbishop Neofitos of Eldoret and Northern Kenya, His Grace Bishop Sylvester Kisitu of Jinja and Northern Uganda, and His Grace Bishop Philipos of Kisumu and Western Kenya. They were joined by clergy from various dioceses across Kenya.
The Feast of Pentecost, commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, was celebrated with great joy, prayer, and spiritual fervor as hundreds of faithful gathered to receive the blessings of the day from their Spiritual Father.
During the Divine Liturgy Seminarian Julius was ordained to the Holy Diaconate.
We Pray for continued strengthening of the Church's mission, the unity of the faithful, and God's abundant blessings upon the people of Kenya and the entire African continent.
