St Barnabas Orthodox Mission Kenya: "We give children a healthy start..."

 Department of religious education-kenya orthodox
PHILOTIMO
'Philotimo' is a Greek word that is impossible to translate. It is a word without definition, yet impacts the world beyond imagination.
It comes from the Greek root words “philos,” meaning friend, and “timi,” meaning honour. But the meaning of philotimo extends far beyond the words friend and honour.
...
Philotimo is the feeling of not being able to do enough for your family, society and your community; it is expressed through acts of generosity and sacrifice without expecting anything in return. Philotimo is to get more satisfaction from giving than from taking.
Nice word for the holy week
THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
