Innocentios Byakatonda
BISHOP’S MISSION WORK
On 7th January 2016; His Grace Innocentios the Bishop of Orthodox Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda celebrated the All Night Vigil for the Old Calendar Christmas to the People who are living in Rwanda; respectively from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and other Eastern Countries.
The next day His Grace Innocentios visited Gishari community. This community is very new founded, and it is still need more support in terms of catechism and guideline, because many o...f its members were from Protestant background. Actually, they have no shelter for prayers. They normally gather under the tree and shitting. When it rains they have to stop the service and go to their neighbors to look for a shelter. In order to handle that case, they started gathering some local materials available, and they also requested the Bishop to bless and assist their plan to build a semi-permanent hall for prayers while waiting the permanent Church. But, this community already has 5ha of land and is use it for farming.
