OCMC News - 2015 Orthodox Mission Teams Now Available!

2015 OCMC short-term mission teams are now available! Teams will be traveling throughout the year serving in North America, Africa, Europe, and Asia to teach the faith, provide healthcare, build, minister to youth and more. Visit www.ocmc.org to apply today!

OCMC is excited to announce short-term mission team opportunities for 2015! Spaces are available for over 120 Orthodox Christians to serve in the coming year by ministering to youth, teaching the faith, offering healthcare, and working on construction and maintenance projects. Teams will be traveling throughout the year, so please consider volunteering. Your help is needed!
In addition to returning to Alaska, Albania, Guatemala, Kenya, Mexico, Moldova, and Uganda, a team will be traveling to Indonesia in 2015 to provide religious education at two Orthodox church schools and offer catechism to the faithful in Medan! This team will be serving from 6/28/2015 to 7/12/2015. Participation cost is $1065 (+ airfare).
Other 2015 Orthodox Mission Teams include:
Albania Teaching
Work with youth leaders on outreach to university students and nurture college students and young adults in Tirana. Serving from 2/27/2015 to 3/8/2015. Participation cost is $1150 (+ airfare).
Albania Youth Work
Participate in the annual summer youth camp program at the Children's Home of Hope in Shen Vlash. Serving from 6/15/2015 to 7/1/2015. Participation cost is $1135 (+ airfare).
Guatemala Outreach
Work with the community in Nueva Concepcion to restore facilities at a senior center and offer outreach to surrounding communities. Serving from 7/26/2015 to 8/8/2015. Participation cost is $1325 (+ airfare).
Guatemala Healthcare
Take part in a holistic health outreach to minister to spiritual and physical needs in northern Guatemala. Serving from 8/17/2015 to 8/26/2015. Participation cost is $1475 (+ airfare).
Kenya Teaching
Celebrate Pascha at the Makarios III Seminary in Nairobi and teach the Faith to catechists (local church leaders) from outlying areas of Lodwar. Serving from 4/9/2015 to 4/19/2015. Participation cost is $1110 (+ airfare).
Kenya Construction
Assist the community of St. Peter with the construction of a school in the remote village of Loupwala in northern Kenya. Serving from 5/28/2015 to 6/13/2015. Participation cost is $1415 (+ airfare).
Moldova Youth Work
Assist with a youth camp in Orhei focused on Orthodox spirituality and culture among the youth of Moldova. Serving from 7/11/2015 to 7/23/2015. Participation cost is $1060 (+ airfare).
Uganda Healthcare
Provide healthcare as part of the ongoing initiative of the Orthodox Church to minister to the needs in eastern Uganda. Serving from 6/1/2015 to 6/12/2015. Participation cost is $1350 (+ airfare).
