On September 14, the first ordinations of a priest and a deacon on Rwandan soil took place. Thousands of neophytes and cathecumens attended and celebrated for the occasion.

Burundi

On September 19, in Buramata primary school, the blessing of water took place on the beginning of the new school year; stationery was given out to more than 600 children, thanks to “St. Alexios” association’s love.

The foundation stone was laid for the construction of the St. Cosmas and Damian church in Nkhuwala.

Ebola epidemic rages in Sierra Leone. The epidemic and the quarantine ordered by the authorities to halt it have undermined social and economic activity and as a result the country now faces a food crisis.
