The Holy Services of Great and Holy Week were celebrated with piety and intense prayerful participation in the Churches of the Holy Diocese of Brazzaville and Gabon.
Particular mention is made of His Grace Bishop Panteleimon’s visit to the Parish Community of St Irene in the city of Dolisie on Holy Wednesday 12th April 2017, during which he presented the appointment as Member of the Diocesan Council to the active Parish Priest Fr. Paul Diafouka, Director o the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage, as well as to Mr. Chrysostom Djimbi, President of the Dolisie Supreme Court. On Holy Friday he presided over the Holy Services of the Royal Hours, the Vespers of the Deposition from the Cross and the Service of the Epitaphios at the Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire.
At the above-mentioned Cathedral he presented the appointed as Member of the Diocesan Council for the period 2017-2020 to the Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. Maximos Oumba, Hierarchal Vicar General of the Holy Diocese of Brazzaville, to whom he donated a new set of vestments, as well as to Mr. Seraphin Bhalat, General Manager of the Port in Pointe-Noire.
