Today we celebrated also the Patron Saint of our Parish St. NICHOLAS BISHOP OF MYRA IN LYCIA.

The Gospel today recounted the healing of the woman with the spirit of infirmity for eighteen years to the displeasure of the elders of the Synagogue. The power of God over time and disease was in full display as Christ overrides both the many years of the affliction and the infirmity itself giving hope that no matter how long we might have endured any affliction that if we are steadfast in trusting on Him, He will never forsake us.

After the Divine Liturgy, procession with the miracle-working Relic of St. Nicholas was conducted within the Church and Joseph was received into Christ fold through the Sacraments of Baptism, Chrismation and Holy Eucharist.

Through the prayers of Sts. MENAS, HERMOGENES, & EUGRAPHOS, MARTYRS OF ALEXANDRIA whose memory we celebrate today and St. NICHOLAS BISHOP OF MYRA IN LYCIA our patron Saint, Lord Jesus Christ our God have mercy on us and speak on our behalf as You spoke today in the Gospel.
