Bishop Silvestros presided over the Divine Liturgy at Holy Resurrection Cathedral - Jinja, Uganda

SUNDAY OF THE HOLY ANCESTORS OF CHRIST AT HOLY RESURRECTION CATHEDRAL

His Grace Bishop Silvestros presided over the Divine Liturgy today at Holy Resurrection Cathedral - Jinja. In his homily, referring to the Sunday Gospel (Luke 14:16-24), His Grace urged the congregation to avoid getting knotted with worldly excuses but find it purposeful to commune with God.

On the Sunday which comes on or immediately after 11 December, we commemorate Christ's forefathers according to the flesh, both those that came before the Law, and those that lived after the giving of the Law.
