NATIVITY OF THEOTOKOS CELEBRATED WITH FORMAL OPENING OF CHURCH DOORS IN NAMWENDWA

Today His Grace Bishop Silvester Kisitu presided over the Divine Liturgy in the new temple of "Nativity of Theotokos" in Namwendwa, Kamuli district as the community celebrated their patronal feast day of the Nativity of our most holy Lady Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary.

The glorious feast started with the formal opening of the Church Doors and blessing it for worship. The Bishop then celebrated the Divine Liturgy together with Reverand Fathers; Chrysostom Koolya, Steven Lunagula, John Ngobi and James Tizoomu, assisted by Monk-Deacon Moses Ssekubunga on the Sunday which comes before the feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross. We were blessed to have Metropolitan Innocentios of Sozusa present with us.

The church which has been dedicated to the protection of the Theotokos through her glorious feast of Nativity (08 September) is located in Ndalike parish, Namwendwa Town Council, Kamuli district. We pray for continual God's blessings through the intercessions of the supremely blessed Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary.
