ORTHODOX DIOCESE OF NYERI AND MT KENYA
"Saint Anthony Orthodox Secondary School is one of the Orthodox Sponsored Schools. However St. Antony SEC. SCHOOL is unique in the sense that it is fully sponsored by the Orthodox Church unlike the other two that are government facilitated. Today therefore marked a new beginning that we were able to start our pastoral ministry at the school where we shall have prayers every Thursday.
We have about 50 students in total from form 1 to form 4. Reason being that we lack resources and most of the students come from needy families and we take responsibility to help.
I am praying that this school one day will become an oasis of knowledge. We are at our humble beginnings. The Diocese centre is within the school compound so I will have a fantastic family when I will move in.
We therefore need money to pay teachers, buy books/ stationaries, lunch for students and most importantly classrooms.
We already have a plan drawn for the classrooms that we want to construct. It is my plea that someone would help us educate these needy children comfortably in a safe orthodox environment by through construction of safe classrooms, salaries for teachers etc.
