Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, Port Elizabeth

On Wednesday 1 January 2014, the service of the Holy Eucharist was celebrated together with the Feast of the Circumcision of Christ and the commemoration of the Feast Day of Saint Basil.After the service the Doxology for the New Year was held and the blessing of the Vasilopita.
The Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr Iwakeim cut the Vasilopita in the church and everyone received a piece of the sweet cake in the New Year tradition.
