On Thursday, 16 January 2014, Professor Renos Papadopoulos of the University of Essex rounded off his recent trip to South Africa with a visit to the Chapel of Saint Mary of Egypt in Robertson. The Chapel, and the centre of which it is part, is situated in the beautiful Keurkloof valley outside of Robertson.
Professor Papadopoulos was able to meet with Father Zacharias as well as some others and shared with them some of his own experiences with the Monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex. The party was generously hosted for lunch by the Joannou family at the local Pick n Pay.
