Yesterday on June 5th, 2016; His Grace Innocentios, the Bishop of Orthodox Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda has officiated the inauguration and blessing of a new social hall which will be serving Gishari Community as a semi-permanent church.
People from this local area are not only rejoicing for the semi-permanent church; but also for other philanthropic activities like medical insurance cards, fighting child malnutrition and promoting small generating income projects which have been provided by Orthodox Church for the needy.

Gishari community is in one of the sectors of Rwamagana District situated in Eastern Province of Rwanda; and currently they are making almost 200 neophytes within one year. Their prayers is to get their own priest, a permanent church and other welfare services such as school and a clinic which are not easy to get at the present in this region.
