In the framework of the pastoral efforts for evangelizations of the baptised members of the local Church, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville, organised on Monday 14th October 2014, an inter-parish meeting of the faithful of the three Parishes of the city of Pointe-Noire at the Holy Cathedral of St Dimitrios, and expanded to them the topic “The Church as the Body of Christ”. This was preceded by the Service of the Holy Paraclesis to the Most Holy Theotokos.
This meeting will take place every Monday and its aim is both the steady catechism-evangelization of the Orthodox faithful on topics of faith and divine worship, as well as giving an exemplary manner of catechizing the faithful to all the Parish Priests of the Holy Diocese, for a more relevant performance of their pastoral duties. To this end, the participation of the parish Priests and the Catechists of Pointe-Noire (St Dimitrios, the Ascension of the Lord and St Fotini) is compulsory.
Following the end of the discussions those present posed questions to the Bishop and a dialogue ensued.
