TRANSFIGURATION FEAST IN RWANDA

His Grace Innocentios Byakatonda, the Bishop of Orthodox Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda is calling everyone to receive the light of the Holy Spirit in order to be purified. He said: "The mystery of Transfiguration of the Lord on Mt Tabor is a good example that we (people) can be transfigured too, but not waiting to go the same mountain rather everywhere... we live." During His sermon, Bp Innocentios continued explaining to the congregation why the feast is being celebrated in August whereas logically it could be before the crucifixion of Christ.
This Divine Liturgy took place at Rwamagana community in Eastern Province of Rwanda. The Hierarchy concelebrated with Archim Constantinos from Greece, Rev. Fr Maximos from Kaziba parish, Rev. Fr Panagiotis from Rwabutazi parish, Rev. Dn Timotheos, among others.
