On the morning of 25th July 2015, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon went to the city of Dolisie, to meet with the 24 children in the care of the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage, to give them a large amount of clothing, other necessary items for their daily use, as well as a professional oven, donated by Mr. Kyriakos Kyriakides, a businessman from Pointe-Noire.He also had the joy of holding lengthy discussions with them both on issues of faith as well as thoughts and concerns that arise naturally in adolescence.
On Sunday 26th July 2015, he conducted the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the Holy Church of St Irini in Dolisie, where the commemoration of the Saints and Great Martyrs Parasceve and Panteleimon the Healer. At the same time the Bishop consecrated as Reader a pious youth of the Parish Community. He went on to receive the wishes of the large congregation on the occasion of his name day.
The pastoral visit ended with a catechetical synaxis of the faithful and a festive lunch hosted by the Parish Council in honour of His Grace.
