Innocentios Byakatonda, the Bishop of the Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda made a pastoral visit and at the same time celebrated the first Divine Liturgy to the community of Nyamata (Bugesera District, Rwanda)

Yesterday on 28 September 2014, His Grace Innocentios Byakatonda, the Bishop of the Diocese of Burundi and Rwanda made a pastoral visit and at the same time celebrated the first Divine Liturgy to the community of Nyamata located in Bugesera District in Eastern Province of Rwanda and also tonsured the reader Dimitrios to help this community. Three months ago, the Bishop decided to start the intensive catechism to the people of this area because since 2010 they continued to show the thirsty and eager to join the orthodox faith, and now over 50 catechumens are almost ready to be baptized. The Bishop thanked the people so much for their unity and courage on how they didn't wait the church to be completed but rather they started to gather in a hall without a roof. He reminded them that "if we wait to do things in perfect way, we will do nothing". The Bishop promised them that the church will be completed soon, and encouraged them to continue to pray unceasingly, so that things can be done simultaneously. We can remind that on its time of consecration this church will take the name of Holy Trinity. Also this church delayed to be completed due to the some problems of title land, but now the procedures are on track. Please, keep us in your prayers, so that the Holy Trinity church will be completed.
