"On the 8th of July every year, the Orthodox Church in Uganda celebrates the life and contributions of Archmandrite Obadiah Bassajjakitalo one of the pioneers of Orthodox Christianity in Uganda and most parts of East Africa. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the commemoratory service this year was held on Sunday 12th, July at St. Nicholas Cathedral presided over by Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga. We are always grateful for the efforts of our forefathers that gave birth to #Orthodoxy. May they souls be eternal always!! Amen"
