"A particularly touching moment came when a man in the first village told us, through translation, that if they were there when Jesus was arrested, they would have defended Him. Tears stung my eyes at the innocence and sincerity of this statement. Fr. Martin replied that he didn’t doubt they would but explained that our Lord died willingly for our salvation. To the glory of God, each village asked the Church to return with further catechism and baptism!"
