The Feast of the Nativity of the God-Man was celebrated with devotion and spiritual euphoria in all the Parish Communities of Congo-Brazzaville. His Eminence Panteleimon Metropolitan of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon conducted at midnight the Divine Liturgy at the temporary Holy Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire, during which he read the Patriarchal Encyclical of the Nativity from the Venerable Primate of the Alexandrian Church, His Beatitude Theodoros II.
At the end of the Eucharistic gathering His Eminence conveyed his festive wishes and patriarchal advice to the congregation as well as to the Congolese citizens via the state television Tele-Congo which covered the Liturgical Prayers of the Nativity of Christ.
He also gave an epigonation to the Parish Priest of the Cathedral, the Reverend Protopresbyter Maximos Oumba, Vicar General of the Holy Metropolis, and a set of cufflinks to Deacon Stephanos Andzembé. The joy was completed when all the little children received toys.
